Day 2 Snow Monkeys & Soba Making

First thing today are the snow monkeys. It’s about a 10-minute drive from the hotel, followed by a 30-minute walk. After the monkeys, we attend a soba making class where we learn about soba and make our own noodles. Origami lessons are also offered. An amazing outdoor onsen caps off the day. Dinner is a sumo-styled hot-pot called Chanko Nabe.

Day 3 Snowshoeing & Sledding

This morning’s drive takes us one hour to the Togakushi Shrine complex, where we strap on snowshoes and walk through a beautiful snowy setting. Lunch is delicious Togakushi-style soba noodles. We stop on the way home for some sledding and maybe a spontaneous snowball fight! Dinner is at a local well-known sushi restaurant.
